Information Inequality Decrease in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2007-2009” was approved on

The Programme aim is to achieve 20% of computer literacy level of the population and Internet users in Kazakhstan. Achievement of the Programme aim is provided with fulfilling the following tasks:
To create favorable conditions for effective Internet use in every day life to not less than 20% of Kazakhstan population;
To raise social and economic value of information resources in Kazakhstan population’s life.
Directions and mechanism of the Programme implementation
1. Enhancement of normative legal provision. 2. Training of teachers for teaching of populationin computer literacy. 3. Methodology provision of teaching population in computer literacy bydistance and internal ways of education. 4. Teaching of population in computer literacy. 5. Creation of monitoring system and carrying out of periodical analysis of the Programme implementation. 6. Decrease of tariffs for Internet access and provision for population with computer devices at a reasonable price. 7. Training of local IT-specialists. 8. Formation of citizens’ interests in mastering of information-communication technologies. 9. Formation of public support for fulfill mentof the Programme measures in state and Russian languages.
